- Devs respond to addon changes: If I’m going to start writing books and comics with Blizzard products and make money off of their franchises without their consent should I be angry that all of a sudden I get a legal letter in the mail saying I should stop? Addons are not different in the sense that you’re running your code within their game and profiting from it. It’s all totally open as well. The addon developers who are throwing in the towel are laughable at best and piteous at worst.
