• 80% of Television Viewed in SD: I blame a sloppy transition. Additionally I find it slightly misleading when cable companies (mine included) advertise “free HD” when you have to pay extra for a converter box.

  I suspect also that the new way channels work is too confusing for the average citizen. Using regular channels still with point system for digital channels (channel 5 and channel 5.1) may not make much sense to people for whatever reason. I think TV manufacturers also handle this differently.
