Adobe is a HUGE security vulnerability waiting to happen. I am pretty sure I got my last 2 infections through adobe. Switched to Foxit and haven’t regretted it at all.
The Osorb sounds interesting, but I will continue to doubt with a wait and see approach. It sounds like many other green technologies where they leave out the nasty details of how well it works, especially coming via Word- of-Mouth from Inhabitat. Hydrophobic absorption isn’t exactly cutting edge technology, even at the nano level, and the article is very sketchy on how they are going to liberate the trapped organics once they collect the obsorb, possibly with other organic solvents, which increases the amount of waste produced. Finally if it is more dense than water, as it sinks, and most non-halogenated organics float on the surface, how is it going to pick up the organics. The funny thing is that it sounds like sand, which works similarly except that it adsorbs ionic and hydrophilic chemicals (and thus cleans our rainwater as it permeates through the sand into the watershed).

Adobe has been sucking lately with the exploits in Flash.
