Can you do A-Bit of X? (Requests)
I love requests and some of the best videos have come from your requests! However, I get a lot of requests. When choosing what music to cover I look for popularity, relevance and, ultimately, whether I like the music and believe I can do it any justice.

Any tips for people wanting to pick up keyboard/ piano?
1. Listen to as much music as possible!
2. Learn to play by ear. Listen to the music you like and try to figure out how to play through trial and error.
3. Learn the major, minor and pentatonic scales, as well as basic chords. These will help you to…
4. IMPROVISE. Have fun and make stuff up. There’s plenty of teachers on YouTube who can give you great advice on how improvise.
5. Use the internet. This was a huge part of my own development as a player. I am almost completely self-taught… unless you count the internet as a teacher!

What equipment do you use?
I play a Novation Launchkey 49. I run this through Plogue Chipsounds for the 8-bit sounds. I record and arrange in FLstudio.

WCS 2016 Signature Series: Polt Tribute

Choi ‘Polt’ Seong Hun is a Terran player from South Korea living in the United States.

Polt is one of top 10 players in prize money earned in StarCraft II. He earned over $82,000 in 2013 alone and formerly held the record for highest individual tournament prize at $95,000 for his 2011 GSL Super Tournament victory. Since then Polt has managed consistent success as a StarCraft II pro player.

Originally, Polt was known for his invincible TvP, at one point with a 10-0 win streak in GSL Code S. He is now more widely known as an incredible TvZ player, winning several tournaments against talented zerg players.

In January 2014, Polt became the second Korean to obtain an Athlete Visa from the U.S. government after viOLet allowing him to continue to compete in WCS in the America region after the regional changes introduced in 2015.

In 2016 Polt placed 1st in the 2016 WCS Winter Circuit Championship- competing against a handful of skilled players such as Dayshi, FireCake, and Nerchio. In the finals he faced off against Snute in a tough best of seven series, ultimately Polt was victorious, and solidified his spot in the WCS Global Playoffs for 2016.

Unfortunately, due to Polt’s obligation to serve in the Korean military he was forced to give up his place at the 2016 WCS Global Playoffs and return to Korea.

Hello everyone! As many of you know, I’ve been creating a game called Rakuen for the past few years. We’re getting really close to finally releasing it, so in preparation I thought it’d be nice to start uploading the soundtrack to my channel so that people can listen to the music. If you’d like to download the soundtrack, a portion of the tracks are available for pre-order at my Bandcamp, and the full 52-track OST will be released soon (I’ll make sure to keep everyone updated) ^__^

Rakuen is an adventure game about a Boy who lives in the hospital. One day he asks his Mom if she’ll escort him to the fantasy world from his favorite storybook, in order to ask the great Forest Guardian, Morizora to grant him one wish. Together, the Boy and his Mom search out special doors that lead between the hospital and fantasy world, and they set off on a great journey. In order to receive a wish, the Boy must complete a set of challenges that revolve around helping his neighbors in the hospital by interacting with their alter-egos in the fantasy world.

“The Spirit Envoy” are creatures that sometimes wander Morizora’s Forest (the fantasy world from the Boy’s favorite storybook, Rakuen). They are mysterious beings that Forest residents describe as “between this world and the next.” Sometimes they’re harmless; merely passing through. But sometimes if they’re overrun with negative energy, they can be aggressive and frightening. It’s best to keep your distance during such times.
